We were invited to play yesterday at Zoos Victoria‘s members party at Healesville Sanctuary. Wildlife Super Hero’s were out in force, making for an exciting, high energy set up with perfect location, weather and lots of fun! Each time we do an event set up, I like to introduce something new. This time it was an array of musical instruments, and I was keen to see how this selection of beautiful instruments would be used in the general public setting. I was thrilled at how respectfully the children engaged with the activities, in particular the gathering drum.
This little one in particular was amazing. I was listening in to his chatter to his sister and he was explaining to her that he had to cover the gathering drum in the scarves so that he could make “coloured music.” We as adults could not in our wildest dreams envisage such easy solutions and creative concepts!
It was wonderful to bump into Kindergym families there to say ‘hi’.
Thank you to Zoo’s Victoria Healesville team for making the day so successful and for being an amazing crew to work with. The generosity and can-do positive attitude of Zoo staff never ceases to amaze me!
